Minister..? Mervin ties a Muslim state official to a Mango tree

Deputy Minister of Highways Mervyn Silva has tied the Hunipitiya Samurdhi officer (a Muslim Govt. Servant, Mohamed Isham) to a mango tree accusing the officer of not attending the meetings he had called on controlling the dengue epidemic. According to journalists Mervin Silva has also used abusive language on lady officers who protested the minister's action. Mervin Silva also severely warned one of the lady officers saying she too would be tied to a tree.

The Deputy Minister had invited journalists to witness the incident. He also said this was only the first warning to the officials and further action would be taken if incidents of this nature continued. (Source: Lanka Truth) , Plz see below video...
